Stenciling of Titanic proportions. (Taken with Instagram)  Found this on a little side street in Hollywood (I think near Hollywood Blvd and Cahuenga Ave.)  There’s only one.   But there’s only one Titanic.

Uncle Tom’s Toys in Montrose.  The back side of this building on Honolulu Ave. is even more interesting and photogenic than the front.

Lennon saves De Longpre Ave. (Taken with instagram)

Found this spray painted on the curb along De Longpre Ave. in Hollywood while I was taking a walk during lunch at Nickelodeon.  It’s almost “too good” for a graffiti tag, and it just opens up a whole enchilada of questions.

Between Cahuenga Ave. and heaven.   Found on my lunchtime walk from Nickelodeon as I was exploring De Longpre Ave. and the streets south of the Arclight Theater.

Wreckage (Taken with instagram)  Parked in front of the Kibitz Room on Fairfax around 2:00 AM.   Just another day in Hollywood.

Montrose alley (Taken with instagram)

I think this might have been behind the Montrose Bowling Alley, but I’ll have to check the next time I’m in Montrose (which is almost daily).

Los Feliz - @chuckvideo- #webstagram

A little Dead Bee action on a side street in Los Feliz.

An old sign on a side street off of Vermont in Los Feliz.  Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could restore the missing neon?

Nickelodeon. (Taken with instagram)  This bike was just sitting in our parking lot here at Nick on Sunset.  What’s the back story?  Did an employee ride it in this morning …. in the pouring rain?

Briggs. (Taken with instagram)

I’ve always found it fascinating* how utility workers never seem to replace manhole covers in the same position as they were found, so that the next time the street lane painters come along there’s always an interesting pattern created.

*apparently I have too much free time on my hands.

What dreams are made of. (Taken with Instagram at Crestview Preparatory School)

When I was a kid I used to LOVE these futuristic playground rockets.  Too bad almost all of them are now gone, replaced by more mundane jungle gym appliances and park benches which kids can’t get hurt on or dream about.   I suspect this one rocket remains as it’s about a quarter mile away from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory here in La Cañada.

Interstate 10.

Don’t know what it is but I want one.  This is off the Rice Ave. offramp from Interstate 10 around the Palm Springs area.

I love exploring LA’s Chinatown with a camera (or in this case an iPhone) in hand.

Would have been even more awesome had it been night.
